Where are we located? Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Our actual address will be given when purchasing a pup or dog, not before. We have had dogs stollen from our property.

How much is freight? Quotes are located on the freight information page, please note these are quotes and are subject to change, Dogs requiring freight are flown from Brisbane or Sunshine Coast (Always the most direct route).

Do the pups come with a certificate of Pedigree? Both the British Bulldog and the Chow Chow are “real, recognised breeds’ our pup are registered with Dogs Queensland a body of the Australian National Kennel Club;  ANKC. We are members of Dogs Queensland, Queensland British Bulldog Club and Sunshine Coast Dog Obedience Club

Are the pups vaccinated? Yes with a C-3

Are the pups wormed? Yes at 2,4,6 & 8 weeks of age

Do I get an information pack? Yes, the pack will contain information from the pet insurance company , training tips, breed Specific information, certificate of Pedigree, worm tablets to take your pup through to 12 weeks of age. Information regarding feeding, worming, pest control

Are the pups microchipped? Yes, and transferred to your name.

Can I have my pup on the main register? Yes, conditions apply. Only show dogs will be on main register. We no longer sell to people who  choose just to breed and not show.

Do the pups come with a health contract? Yes,  3 days return guarantee on the health of the pup, once pups leave us their health is out of our hands. no guarantee offered for anything that the environment is a major contributing factor.

Are the pups vet checked? Yes at a few days of age, then at 6 and 8 weeks of age.

Do you recommend pet insurance? We do suggest that you do have pet insurance, we do not contribute to any vet bills. But it is up to you, however the majority of our vet bills are due to accidents. If you do obtain a pet insurance check for breed specific exclusions. Remember, dogs are living, breathing animals.

How much are the pups?  British Bulldogs from $4500 and Chow Chow’s from $4500 the price is not negotiable, we are registered for GST this will be included in the price given, these dogs cost a lot to put on the ground and a lot of work goes into producing these beautiful puppies.  Many of our lines are from champion international lines that we have imported, these are very expensive and well breed dogs.

When do I pay the deposit? deposit is taken after the pups are released for sale. Deposit for a pup is $1000 NEVER PAY A DEPOSIT OR ANY MONEY BEFORE A PUP IS BORN.

Can I enter into a payment plan before the pup is born? NO THIS IS HIGHLY UNETHICAL FOR ANY BREEDER TO DO SUCH A THING, there is no guarantee that they will have a live litter. Deposit is taken once you have selected the pups from the litter and can be paid off until the pup is collected or due 2 weeks prior to flight.

When is the balance due? The Balance is due after the 6 week vet check this will be 7 days prior to going to their forever homes.

How old are they when get them? Pups that will remain in Australia can go after their 8 weeks of age vet check. Pups traveling Overseas can go after they turn 12 weeks of age or dependant on quarantine requirements

Do you ship? Yes, at the new owners expense, flights only air port to airport. This is also dependant on time of year, certain months of the year we will not fly pups. We use Bay City Travel to transport our dogs.

Can I go on a waiting list? Yes, please put which litter that you are after, you will be contacted when a litter is due

Can I choose which colour? Yes, only after they are born

Can I choose what sex I want? Yes

How do pups get allocated? Each litter will could be
different, If we are retaining a pup from litter, selections will be available after we have made a selection, we also reserve the right to change our mind and keep a pup that may have been available. Second picks go to show homes, often the show home owners the people have been on our waiting list waiting for the combination they are looking for, for a number of years. Then the pups are allocated to those on the waiting list who have filled in the expression of interest, have been approved and are allocated in the order the return of the contract of sale and deposits are recieved.

Is a male or a female better? If you are going to desex your dog there is very little difference. If you do not intend to desex your dog, the male dog can be rather dominate and will require extra training. The female will still mark her territory somewhat similar to that of a male and she will come into heat and bleed for several weeks, and some tend to be moody when in heat. A female that is not desexed must be confined during heat as she will go and look for a male to breed with.

The Chow Chow male if not desexed can be a handful. Highly recommend they are desexed once growth is completed.

Are the Parents Health Checked? We have done extensive research into all lines that are a part of our breeding program, not just checking immediate relations, but cousins seconds, cousins, aunts, uncles, great aunts and great uncle, we have traced lines back as far as the 1970's for most but ever further for some. Our current breeding stock that we own have all been DNA test for genetic disease or conducted by parentage . All pups are parentage DNA tested. None our breeding dogs have had any breathing, heat, skin or respiratory or skeletal issues, none have undergone or needed to undergo any surgery to correct breathing issues. Tests vary from breed to breed all of our dogs have been tested for inheritable diseases that can be detected via DNA, all breeding dogs have undone various other health tests that do vary from dog to dog, (Not all dogs have had all tests and not all tests are relevant to both breeds
Test that we undertake are:
  • Hips Scoring
  • Elbow Scoring
  • Spine Scoring
  • Thoracic Inlet
  • Heart Doppler
  • Patella's
  • Examination of pallet and overall respiratory system
  • European Imports (BOAS)
  • ETT (will be conducted once available)

Can we come and look at the pups to pick one out? We do not allow anyone to touch or go near the pups before they are 8 weeks of age, this is due to disease transmission. Also, mothers are not keen on people visiting their pups, some will try to remove the smell of stranger frothier pups and accidentally fell them pup.  Our property is quarantined when we have young pups. Once the mothers have been mated they are not available for viewing, disease can be bought in on clothing and cause abortion of pups or results in a still born litter

Our Chow Chows are guard dogs so it is not possible to arrange for home viewings, while pups are young.

Can we look at the parents? Yes, but only at a dog show. Often our litter are gained via imported frozen semen, so the sire will not be able to be viewed.

Do you know what colour the pups will be? No, this depends on the individual genetics that each pup receives from its parents. Remember, grandparents, great grandparents and great great grandparents will impact on the colours. This will also impact on many other features. We have a family page it has photos of a number of the dogs that could impact on your pup. We have tried to collect photos of these dogs and put these photos on the prospective parents page. Remember colour is not an indication of the quality and features of the dog, just because it has a great colour that doesn't mean it will look any good.

Please note "Rare" colours are not acceptable in the British Bulldog and are classified as incorrect, rare colours have been linked through scientific research to be predisposed to greater health issues than those of standard colours, Rare colours are also more often than not a crossbreed, e.g. merle is NOT possible in the bulldog.

Are there health concerns with the breeds? All breeds of dogs regardless of what you have, has the potential to have health issues. Genetics plays a part here too, on the odd occasions, something that hasn't been seen many, many generation may come out, this is out of our control. The dogs that we are breeding from do not have any known or reported genetic issues. The majority of health problems are not genetic, but come from the environment they live in and a general health is directly related to diet, very much like us.

Pet insurance is highly recommended, we do not pay your vet bills.

Please research the breed you are interested in, feel free to talk to us regarding any concern you may have. Both the British Bulldogs and the Chow Chow have associated health issues (as do any breed of dog) good breeding programs should limit any of these issues. We have done what we can do to reduce any issues. We do not breed from dogs with know health issues.

Do the dogs suffer from heat? We reside in South East Queensland, where we have long hot and humid Summers, They do not have issues with the heat, the level of heat tolerance varies from dog to dog. Common sense must prevail, Do Not exercise your dog in the heat of the day, make sure they have access to shade and fresh water. In Summer, they love water or a cool hole in the sand or dirt. If your dog appears to be suffering from the heat give it access to water to lay in or put in air conditioning. If breathing is ever distressed seek immediate veterinary assistance. If your dog is overweight it will have increased problems with heat.

CHOW CHOWS: they are double coated, this is for insulation, keeps them cool in summer and warm in winter the same as wool on a sheep. NEVER NEVER EVER shave a Chow Chow.

Can the dogs exercise? Yes they can, please note like you, tolerance needs to be built, young dogs need time to develop. Our dogs are walked most days up to 5km to keep them in good health, distance vary from dog to dog and the age of the dog will also determine distance. DO NOT run or jump young dogs or take to the beach, this is the leading cause of hip displacement (not genetics) in the BBD and ACL injuries in the Chow Chow. Do NOT walk young dogs long distance, exercising guidelines will be included in your puppy pack.

Can they swim? Generally, yes they can, however they are not water dogs so you would need to keep an eye on them. Do not take for granted that they can swim, some just don't get it. We do have one that goes out on the surfboard and another that swims somewhat similar to a rock. Always supervise dog around water.

Do they get on with other dogs?
BULLDOGS: In general, yes. The majority of the dog's behaviour is established form the way it is treated and trained and the way you react to other dogs. The dog you end up with is the dog you have created.

CHOW CHOW: they MUST be trained, they MUST be human socialised. Walked on a lead around as many dogs and people as physically possible. NEVER take a Chow Chow to a dog off leash area, they DO NOT tolerate dogs in their personal space. If you don't so this type of training before they are 5 months of age you may just have a very hard to handle dog on your hands.

Are they easy to train? They are intelligent and easy to train, but that super cute face can train you faster than you can train them, if you are not careful. They need boundaries and love to make you happy. Our 5 month old British Bulldog has passed her level 2 obedience training with ease, Our Chow Chow passed level 3 at just 8 months of age. The dog you get is the dog you create.

Can I leave a pup at home by itself? Yes, dogs do not suffer from separation anxiety, people do. The owners teach their dogs to have separation anxiety. Always make sure your dogs has access to shade and fresh water and a safe secure environment and out of the heat.
